The second Friday in May is National School Communicators Day! A school communicator is one who assists schools and districts in telling their story. Today we are celebrating all of our #TeamSCPS storytellers: from our designated staff photographers, webmasters and social media managers in each school to the administrators developing communication plans and strategies. You are all critical to our mission, goals and keeping our community informed. Thank you! Happy #SchoolCommunicatorsDay!!

National School Nurse day, celebrated on May 10 this year, is a day set aside to recognize school nurses. #TeamSCPS celebrates and acknowledges the contributions made by each of our school nurses who provide student-centered care! Do you have a favorite school nurse? Tag them in this post to show your appreciation! #NationalSchoolNurseDay

Thanks to the Ocean City Bomb Squad's "Rachel Project" beeping Easter egg donation, visually impaired students in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester County Schools will participate in this weekend's Easter egg hunts with more independence! The Rachel Project began after an Alabama bomb technician found a way for his daughter, Rachel, to participate in their church's Easter egg hunts. The project is a partnership between the National Association for Parents of Children with Visual Impairments (NAPVI) and the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (lABTI).
