Our Christmas Concert is Wednesday at 6pm at WHS, which means no Rock Creek Church. Thurs: Prek-3 is at the Board to see Santa! Friday is a free casual day: Favorite Movie Character themed.
Every single student at DIS received a book from the Scholastic Book Fair thanks to the Deal Island-Chance Lions Club! This was over $1000 donated to our children. We can't express how wonderful this was to our students and how appreciative we all are!!!
Tomorrow is a free casual day for our end of the month incentive. We are dressing FESTIVE to celebrate December 1st. Tomorrow morning is the last chance to shop the bookfair before we close it. Thank you again for all your support!

Today, we had a Turkey BOWLING Fundraiser! Students paid $1 for a chance to get a STRIIIIKE with a frozen turkey as the ball! We had a great time and raised funds for a great cause! We hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving break!

Congratulations to Ms. Jennifer Jones, Special Subjects Teacher at Deal Island Elementary School, for being recognized by Kappa Delta Pi: Rho Eta Chapter of Salisbury University as an alumni who embodies the ideals of professional development, community service, and leadership in her career on the Eastern Shore! She received her award at the recent E. Pauline Riall Lecture Dinner.
This upcoming week, we have our Books & Breakfast event on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:15. Please turn in your RSVPs by Tuesday! Our shirt sales will end on November 15th. We need 22 more T-shirts and 13 long sleeve sales in order to print. We are closed on 22nd-24th for Thanksgiving break. Have a great week!

Congratulations to Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Pusey! Mrs. Jones is receiving an award from Salisbury University for her success in her academic career. Mrs. Pusey is receiving an award from the Community Foundation to support her goal of supporting early childhood families. Both will be awarded and celebrated on Thursday evening! We are so proud of our DIS ladies!
