Due to the forecasted weather this weekend, we are sending home devices and chargers. 2nd-5th will have their laptop bag, laptop and charger. Prek-1st will have an iPad, charger and worksheets. If our school closes due to inclement weather Monday, we will go virtual (Google Meet) starting at 8am. If not, all devices are expected to come back Monday morning with students. If students are absent today and do not have a device to use to login to Google Classroom, they can make up the work when we return to school. In order to receive the IPAD, students must have a signed, completed permission slip to attend a 15-20 minute CyberSafety presentation. The presentation will be at our school on December 9, 2025 and lead by Dr. Wiggins, the grant coordinator from UMES. Deal Island staff members will accompany students who have returned their signed, completed permission slip at the presentation. Students who are absent on this day and/or do not have a signed, completed permission slip WILL NOT attend the presentation or receive the device, per the grant.
