In Mrs. Grove’s 5th grade reading class, students worked collaboratively to compare personal narratives to other forms of writing

Students in Mrs. Evans' 4th grade reading class went outside on Friday to practice their reading fluency on such a nice, sunny afternoon. Students practice their passage all week and on Fridays they read aloud to their class. Way to go, 4th graders!

Come join us at Woodson Elementary to meet our Superintendent, Dr. Tasker-Mitchell. She would love to have school community input as she develops plans for the county. Every voice counts.

Social media threats continue circulating in our area and around the Eastern Shore. These threats have been analyzed by law enforcement and our school safety partners and deemed to be non-credible. As always, student and staff safety is our highest priority. Thank you to our students and families for sharing these social media posts with law enforcement and school personnel. Please continue to do so. You can also report threats to the Safe Schools Tip Line at 1-833-MD-B-SAFE.

The Maryland Center for School Safety released information late last night about a nationwide social media threat that has been circulating throughout communities. SCPS wants to make all of our families aware that this threat has been deemed non-credible by local law enforcement, and schools will continue normal operations today. As always, student and staff safety is our highest priority and we appreciate the outreach from our community on this issue.
