Woodson held their annual Transition and Art show event. Families could view their student's art work, meet next year's teachers and get information from some of our community partners. They also took home materials they could work on to prepare them for the upcoming year.

Good Evening Families,
We are so excited to celebrate our amazing 5th graders at their promotion ceremony tomorrow, Monday, June 16th in the school gymnasium!
⏰ Ceremony begins at 1:30 PM
🕐 Please arrive well before 1:15 PM to allow time for check-in. All visitors must be scanned in using a government-issued photo ID, so arriving early will help us avoid delays.
👔 Students should come dressed in their Sunday best or school uniform.
We can’t wait to celebrate this special milestone with you and your child!

🍓🥄 All students at Carter G. Woodson Elementary recently enjoyed a berry special Farm to Cafeteria tasting event! Thanks to the hard work of Mr. David Scott, SCPS Supervisor of Food & Nutrition Services, and support from Maryland SNAP-Ed, students sampled healthy yogurt parfaits made with fresh local strawberries from Butler’s Farm Market & Orchard in Marion Station.
