During our winter break, Crisfield Academy & High School lost one of their students. This is a sad time for her family, her friends, and her entire school community. Our county is sad over the loss of this young life. Washington Academy & High School will join other schools in our county and we will be participating in a "Casual Day for a Cause." We encourage our students to wear pink (which was her favorite color) and donate a $1.00 for participating. Teachers/staff are also encouraged to participate and donate $2.00. All money will be collected during our lunch shifts and all money will be donated to the family to help with their needs related to funeral cost. No one should have to face a loss such as this. Please join us and encourage everyone to particpate in the cause! Please share the post and spread the word. Parents/guardians please send your child/children to school with a $1.00 towards the cause.
If you would like to send a donation in you may do so, and if check PLEASE make checks payable to WAHS and in the memo write: PINK. We will take donations this day only. Thank you!
Casual day rules apply: NO pajama pants, NO jeans with holes. These items are NOT allowed and your child will have to change in to school appropriate pants. Thank you for adhering to the casual day rules.

Happy New Year Jag Nation! This week we have home Basketball games 1/2 and 1/4. Track meet Wednesday @ Worcester. School picture make up day is Friday, 1/5. Progress reports will go out again Wednesday, 1/3. Parent Conferences are 1/8 @ 4-6pm with a parent engagement activity included at 5:30pm WITH dinner provided!
Due to continued flooding and unsafe conditions, schools are closed tomorrow, Tuesday December 19, 2023 for students, teachers and 12 month staff. Winter Break begins Wednesday, December 20. Schools reopen Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Have a safe and happy winter break!
Due to flooding in parts of the county, schools will be closed today, Monday December 18, 2023 for students, teachers and 12 month staff. Due to rain and the tide schedule many roads will remain unpassable throughout the day. Be safe!

Please spead the word and share the page. Wednesday starts the beginning of SANTA SPIRIT WEEK. This is a paid SPIRIT WEEK! Each student must pay $5.00 to participate in the Spirit Week. Students will pay their 3rd period teacher! Students cannot pay for each individual day, they MUST pay for the entire week. Students that participate can come to the nurse's office and have their pics taken each day they participate and they will be placed on the school Facebook page, the picture each day with the most likes will receive a special Jag Cash for $25.00 and it can be used for incentives or at the PBIS School Store. Good afternoon. Earlier today, Route 413 was closed due to an accident in Westover. Buses may experience minor delays this afternoon as they detour around the accident. The WIDA Access event at Somerset County Technical High School will be held as scheduled. Please plan accordingly for traffic delays. Thank you.
