Representatives from the Maryland Department of Education, the Public Consulting Group, and Johns Hopkins University Center for Technology in Education recently gathered to celebrate the conclusion of the Special Education Directors and Aspring Leaders Academy during a two-day capstone event. "Participants shared their Problems of Practice, showcasing collaboration, innovative leadership, and a commitment to strengthening special education in Maryland. The event honored their achievements, recognized dedicated mentors, and marked another successful year of developing special education leaders!" (MSDE, 2026).
We are very proud of our very own Supervisor of Special Education, Zeb Barlow, for completing the program and walking away with a year's worth of learning, growth, and collaborative success! We are excited for the impact this learning will have on Mr. Barlow's continued leadership of our Special Education programs!
