"Somerset County Public Schools (SCPS), acting through the Somerset County Board of Education, has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain proposals from qualified, independent certified public accounting firms to provide annual financial auditing services in accordance with the Annotated Code of Maryland, Education Article §5-109 which states that each county board shall provide for an annual audit of its financial transactions by a certified public accountant or a partnership of certified public accountants who are:
Licensed by the State Board of Public Accountancy, and
Approved by the State Superintendent".
