WESTOVER, MD (May 20, 2025) - Somerset County Public Schools (SCPS) is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of several student artists who were honored in the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore’s (UWLES) 2025 Addiction Awareness Visual Arts Competition. These talented students used their creativity to raise awareness about addiction and mental health, earning high praise and awards for their compelling work.

  • Harmony C. of Crisfield High School

Congratulations to all SCPS winners, with special recognition to Harmony C., CHS Senior, for earning Best in Show. Harmony has entered a piece in every Addiction Awareness Visual Arts Competition held since 6th grade and has placed every year since 7th grade. Together, these students walked away with a total of $1,000 in awards, but more importantly, they helped shed light on a critical issue through the power of art. SCPS applauds their efforts and the role they play in driving positive change in our communities.
