PRINCESS ANNE, MD, May 19, 2023 – Princess Anne Elementary School (PAES) in partnership with the Somerset County Judy Center recently hosted their annual “Spring Fling and Transition Night” family event. Students new to PAES transitioning from the Judy Center and those moving up to the next grade were invited to an outdoor, fun-filled event featuring a DJ, live performances, a miniature petting zoo, food and dozens of community vendors with information about programs and services. 

Students received a free book and summer materials to prepare them for the next grade level. Community organizations in attendance included the Worcester County Health Department, Somerset Infants and Toddlers Program, Wor-Wic Community College, Somerset County Public Library, Somerset Head Start, Somerset Department of Social Services, The Well Ed’s Center, Somerset County Health Department, Somerset Local Care Team, Eastern Shore Childcare Resource Center, WellPoint, Sudanese Community, Princess Anne Police Department, Tigist Toloso Ethiopian Community, Delta Sigma Theya Sorority, Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc., and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. 

 
Students enjoyed treats and giveaways at the Spring Fling and Transitions Night, hosted at Princess Anne Elementary School in partnership with the Somerset Judy Center.

Judy Center and Princess Anne Elementary School staff worked together to serve hot dogs and burgers to guests at the Spring Fling and Transitions Night.

Many community organizations attended the Spring Fling and Transitions night, including a representative from the Tigist Toloso Ethiopian Community. 

Officers from the Princess Anne Police Department served popcorn to students and families at the Spring Fling and Transitions Night at Princess Anne Elementary.
