The graphic below describes the two options parents have for the 2020-2021 school year. In both choices, students will begin the school year virtually in order to give the district time to open to students for face-to-face instruction in the safest manner possible. Families choosing the remote learning Option 1 must commit to a full semester (until Feb. 4, 2020) under this model. SCPS will then evaluate remaining in-classroom capacity and student needs to determine who can switch from Option 1 to Option 2 for the second semester. For families choosing the phased-in Option 2, students will remain in the virtual learning environment until their group is called back to physically return to schools. We will post important health, safety and operations protocols for students' physical return as they are finalized in our plan.
