“The Covid Caper--an Exploration into Forensics and Health Science”

Forensic science merges with the healthcare industry to unravel the mystery of a college student found unconscious in a dormitory.  Was foul play involved? Every possibility is on the table as participants work with a team to sort through the clues and evidence found at the scene.

Take a trip through time as you explore Crisfield Maryland’s rich past. Learn about local legends from historians and by exploring historic sites in the Crisfield area.  Activities will include searching for artifacts with metal detectors, filming and documenting the camp and catching crabs the old fashioned way while learning about the seafood industry!

Experience first hand the rewards of working with young children as you explore a career in education.  Activities will include planning engaging lessons in literacy, history, and science as well as creating games and crafts that will be utilized in the culminating field trip to an actual class on the last day of the camp.

“Automotive In Gear”

**Wednesdays are an open shop day.  Any SCPS student can come to the shop with a parent or guardian to visit.**

Explore everything automotive in this hands-on camp!  Topics will include under car service, repairing brakes, steering and suspension, tire replacement and repair, minor engine repairs, diagnostics and electrical repairs. This camp is perfect for those considering a job in the car industry or anyone just looking to know more about car maintenance and repairs.

“VEX Robotics”

July 12-July 22

Participants of this camp will explore the ever growing field of engineering and robotics as they work collaboratively to build and program a competition robot. Daily mini challenges and hands-on labs will lead up to the final day of robots competing head to head for bragging rights as the best SCPS Robot of 2021!

“Help!  Toads are Taking Over My Town!”

Save the habitat by learning about invasive species and how to end their unfortunate destruction of our beautiful landscape. Learn how to safely trap the destructive critters and relocate them to where they can safely survive and thrive.

Ever wondered how to program a robotic bee?  Participants will explore the wonderful world of coding by programming robotic bees as well as other robots all designed for the youngest engineers.

Taking care of mind and body is so important especially in these difficult times.  This camp will offer participants the opportunity to learn how to deal effectively with a variety of issues including managing relationships, setting goals and dealing with bullying and harassment.  Physical activities, field trips and guest speakers will be woven throughout this four week camp experience.
