PreKindergarten Funding Bill

Call to Action

MABE supports SB 461 (and HB 1433) to provide full, accurate, and transparent funding for prekindergarten, and encourages all local boards to contact legislators, submit testimony and be represented at this week's bill hearing on the Prekindergarten Funding Bill, SB 461.

Home Care Attendant Certificate of Completion Program

The Home Care Attendant provides basic services that enable elderly individuals, or those afflicted with chronic illnesses to remain in their homes rather than living in a nursing or group homes. High school diplomas applicants are preferred, and have access to a telephone. In addition, applicants should be in good physical condition, trustworthy, energetic and able to work independently. Scott Baker Wins Economic Education Award

Washington Academy and High School social studies teacher Scott Baker were chosen as the recipient of the Maryland Council on Economic Education’s (MCEE) High School Gen I Revolution Award to be presented at the annual MCEE awards luncheon on May 18th from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Towson University. Mr. Baker will receive a monetary award.
