Schools Receive Community Foundation Grants

Congratulations to the staff of Woodson Elementary and Ewell Elementary for making our schools richer by $4,200 and $4,300 respectively by applying for and receiving Community Foundation grants. Woodson Elementary School and Ewell Elementary School have been notified by the Community Foundation they are to be the recipients of over $4,000 each for special projects at their schools. Grants will be formally awarded at the Community Foundation location in Salisbury on November 12.

It is open to students, parents, teachers, and administrators. We would really appreciate any feedback we can get. Updated Information on PARCC from the Maryland State Department of Education

The 2015-2016 school year is the second year students in grades 3-8 and high school will take the PARCC assessments in English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics.

PARCC helps teachers and parents determine if younger students are acquiring skills and knowledge needed to advance to the next grade level, while older students can see if they are on track to graduate, ready for college and careers.
