Baxter Enterprises Supports Local Somerset Schools During Testing, Helps with Fundraising and Honors Outstanding Educators

Baxter Enterprises supports other fundraising by allowing schools throughout the county to have their staff work at a local McDonald’s during a specific evening for which the school group will receive a percentage of the proceeds for that evening.

In addition, Baxter Enterprises recognizes four elementary teachers each year, who are known to have good attendance, are highly effective educators and are properly certificated and tenured.  They receive the McEducator Award.  Each year, these teachers receive lucrative gifts.  This year the teachers received a McDonald’s certificate and a $400 gift certificate. Being recognized as stellar educators this year are Michelle Horner from Deal Island Elementary School, Debbie Whitney at Princess Anne Elementary School, Jill Price at Woodson Elementary School and Stefanie Tawes at Greenwood  Elementary School.

At the request of schools, speakers on a variety of topics are available including people representing numerous career fields. Ronald McDonald makes visits to school groups as well.
