"MdBioLab, part of MdBio Foundation’s larger strategy to increase student interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers, is a custom-built mobile laboratory that serves high school students, and their teachers, throughout the state of Maryland. MdBioLab’s goal is to increase student knowledge and confidence with laboratory concepts and techniques while alleviating the budgetary burdens of laboratory science on schools." Acting principal William Gray obtained access to this lab which is much in demand throughout the state when he aggressively registered in August 2016. At the time he was serving as Supervisor of Secondary Science. Mobile Lab manager Joe Wilkerson indicated the lab provides varied equipment and real science experiences. Mobile Lab Instructor Chrysta Ghent taught science in Baltimore City. She said the materials help supplement and provide tools to support the curriculum.
