Twenty-Year Veteran, Tracie Bartemy, named Director of Schools


     Bartemy shall be responsible for the cooperative working relationship among building principals, department heads and such instructional and curriculum committees as are necessary to establish a well-coordinated program of education from Pre-Kindergarten through grade twelve.


     Her experience has prepared her for this position having served ten years as a Supervisor of Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Title I, Elementary Language Arts and Elementary Social Studies. Prior to that position, she served as Dean of Students and Vice Principal at what was then Marion Elementary School for three years and six years initially as a third grade teacher.  Ms. Bartemy has experience in the business community having worked for eleven years in customer service and public relations.


     Her education consists of a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury State College graduating as a member of the Alpha Sigma Lamda Honor Society. In addition, she earned a Master’s of Art Degree in Education from Salisbury University with an emphasis in Teaching & Learning with Technology. She has advanced licensure and certification in educational Leadership & Supervision.   At the present time, she is working toward a Doctor’s Degree in Education with emphasis in Contemporary Curriculum & Literacy.
