CRISFIELD, MD, September 20, 2019 – Somerset County Public Schools recently received a generous donation of book bags and school supplies from employees at Sherwin-Williams’ roller and brush manufacturing plant in Crisfield, MD. The Crisfield site employs roughly 185 individuals on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. Company-led fundraising events through the month of August raised several hundred dollars to purchase the items to fill over 80 book bags for Somerset County students in need for the 2019-2020 school year.
“Sherwin-Williams is committed to employee engagement and community outreach and is proud to be a part of the Somerset County community,” shared Plant Manager, Todd Fox.
Somerset County Public Schools recommends parents or guardians of students in need of assistance with school supplies contact their school office to make a request.
