In additional to the competition the students had the opportunity to stay in the dorms on the University of Georgia campus, eat in the school cafeteria and tour the campus of both schools. This opportunity gave the students the chance to experience “college-life” and to entertain the thought that it wouldn’t be long before they would be picking a post-secondary school.
Following the Challenge the RC-Undersea team, chaperones, and parents visited the Georgia Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the western hemisphere.
The RC-Undersea Team appreciates all of the support they received from schools in the Somerset County Public School system and the surrounding community.
