SCPS will be hosting a Technology Academy during the last two weeks in July. Participants must be a K-12 teacher in Somerset County. Instruction will focus on the Integration of Technology into classroom instruction. 15 teachers will be selected to participate in this program.

Participants will complete the following activities:

	construct a technology rich lesson based on the Bernie Dodge model of creating web quests.
	develop a variety of technology skills as needed to facilitate the outcomes
	integrate technology into the curriculum
	provide for differentiated instruction

 

DATES:   July 21 - July 24  & July 28 - July 31, 2003

Two additional days will be scheduled as a follow up during the 2003-04 school year.

TIMES:    8:00 - 3:00

LOCATION:    A school in Somerset County to be determined

INCENTIVES:    Stipend of $100 per day

                          3 MSDE credits upon completion
