What: Dr. Nancy Grasmick, State
Superintendent of Schools, appointed Maryland's Parent Advisory
Council (M-PAC) in 2003 to generate a series of recommendations to
increase parent involvement. M-PAC involves more then 120 parents
and advocates from across the state that have been meeting monthly
for over a year to explore the issues. M-PAC developed preliminary
recommendations that they will present at 24 public forums. This is
your opportunity to learn about their recommendations and provide
verbal and/or written comment.

How Do I Comment?
1. Verbal comments will be heard following the
presentation of M-PAC's preliminary recommendations. Each attendee
will be given four minutes to provide specific comments on the
recommendations to M-PAC representatives. A written summary of
verbal comments would be appreciated.
2. Written Comments (in place of verbal comments)
may be submitted at the Forum or to the address/email listed below.
