ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

July 31, 2002

SALARY: Commensurate with certification and experience based on the 2002-2003 Somerset County Occupational Therapist Salary Schedule.

QUALIFICATION:

  1. Occupational Therapist Degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, certification eligibility by MSDE.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of the field and related regulations

DUTIES:

  1. Conduct occupational therapy assessments.
  2. Manage a clinical caseload providing treatment, maintaining records and participating in interdisciplinary programming.
  3. Provide consultation to staff, parents and community based professionals.
  4. Design, fabricate, label, disseminate, repair and inventory adaptive equipment, assistive devices and splints.
  5. Continue professional development and education.
  6. Provide in-service training.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Special Education.
  8. Must consistently demonstrate clinical competence in all areas of performance consistent with recognized standards of the occupational therapy profession.
