ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
July 31, 2002
SALARY: Commensurate with certification and experience based on the 2002-2003 Somerset County Occupational Therapist Salary Schedule.
QUALIFICATION:
- Occupational Therapist Degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, certification eligibility by MSDE.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field and related regulations
DUTIES:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments.
- Manage a clinical caseload providing treatment, maintaining records and participating in interdisciplinary programming.
- Provide consultation to staff, parents and community based professionals.
- Design, fabricate, label, disseminate, repair and inventory adaptive equipment, assistive devices and splints.
- Continue professional development and education.
- Provide in-service training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Special Education.
- Must consistently demonstrate clinical competence in all areas of performance consistent with recognized standards of the occupational therapy profession.
