School System Statistics

Somerset County, with a population of approximately 22,350, is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is the state's southern most  county. The Chesapeake Bay forms its western boundary and Virginia its southern boundary. The Board of Education is located in Princess Anne, the county seat. The eleven public schools include two primary (grades PK-2), two elementary (grades 3-5), two primary/elementary combined, two middle (grades 6-8), two high schools (grade 9-12) and one Technology & Career Center for high school students.
