Somerset County, with a population of approximately 22,350, is located on
the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is the state's most southern county.
The Chesapeake Bay forms its western boundary and Virginia its southern
boundary. The Board of Education is located in Westover,
approximately seven miles south of Princess Anne, the county seat. The ten
public schools include one technology & career center, two high schools,
an intermediate school, and six elementary and primary schools.
