| All staff members were encouraged to contribute artifacts in each of the five benchmarks. To recognize contributions made, gold stars were placed on the CES portfolio board under the corresponding benchmark. The portfolio team then collaboratively decided which benchmark the artifact best matched and which year of the journey it fell under. Additional artifact ideas were brainstormed by the team that would further enhance our portfolio. The team then published the written artifacts so that they would be accessible to everyone in the school and community via the Internet. Staff members and parents volunteered to proofread the artifacts. Parents were also given the opportunity to view the portfolio in the lobby of the school. Business cards were placed in prominent places in the community to encourage the viewing of our portfolio and provide feedback to the school. At a faculty meeting, the staff divided into small groups to look more closely at one benchmark and suggest revisions. | ||||||||
