Family Fun Night, held Wed. October 14, saw a record turnout!
During the event parents were able to participate with their children in a variety of Fall related activities. Students estimated how many kernels were on an ear of corn and then found out by counting them. They estimated and then measured the weight and circumference of a pumpkin and then had the fun of digging the seeds out for counting. At the apple station students worked on making a picto-graph, labeled the parts of an apple and had a tasty apple treat!
At the leaf station the students worked on probability, measurement and fact families.
Throughout the event snacks were provided and several door prizes were drawn including beautiful mums donated by How Sweet It Is in Eden Maryland.
Before parents visited the stations with their children the winners of our poetry contest were announced. Those students received coupons for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. There were many smiles during the reading of the poems.
