The Case of Lois McArthur
It's a case of murder most foul, but the J. M. Tawes Crime Scene Technicians are on the job.
 
The victim: A recently-graduated 22 year old, she was scheduled to fly to Hollywood for an autition on the morning her body was found.

Her friend: Longtime friend and college classmate, she was jealous of Lois and her movie career.

 
 
 

Her on again, off again boyfriend: He resented her plans to continue with her acting career once they were married.

'The other man,' brother to her girlfriend, he could never get over Lois.


 
 
 
 
The intruder: caught by the police coming from the victim's residence on the morning of her death.


 

The Crime Scene Supervisor: The solution to the case lies with him and his team.


 
The Prosecutor: All her experience will be required to get the killer off the street.

The victim's mother: Surely she couldn't have been involved?? 


 
   
In the Lab...
Protective Services students employ a variety of forensic methods to catch the murderer
In this case, we utilized fingerprint comparison, blood typing, fiber and hair examination, and handwriting analysis.
Two of the lab examinations for this case required the use of our computerized microscope The microscope enables us to take a close look at evidence, and compare one piece with another, in such a way that the whole class can see it.
